Honour

Let us look at Gate 39, Hidden Path 7 Honour, which flows between Justice/Dispassion and Innocence/Harmlessness. Honour is something that does not seem to have the same importance in our modern world as it used to in days gone by. In many cultures the Honour of a person or a family was worth dying for or sacrificing personal happiness for. In many cases terrible harm was done in order to preserve the Honour of a person or family. That kind of Honour is weighted towards Justice as it is determined by a culture rather than by Cosmic Law. This is not the essence of the spiritual attribute of Honour.

While it is not expected that a person sacrifice life and happiness for what is seen outwardly as Honour it is important to Honour those principles that uphold a Justice that strives to be Harmless. For that certain sacrifices may be called for and we would use some of the other spiritual attributes to help us work out if a sacrifice is required or not.

As we go through life we will move on from people and ideologies for various reasons. We can still Honour them for the part they have played in our lives while moving on from them.

In order to use these spiritual tools which we call the spiritual attributes we need to have a thorough and personal understanding of them. There are many aspects of their operation that are constant for all of us. However there are aspects of each spiritual attribute that vary for each person according to their life situation. It is up to us as individuals to find those variations that are ours to acknowledge and use.

Namaste

I Honour the place in you that is the same in me

I Honour the place in you where the whole Universe resides

I Honour the place in you of Light, of Love, of Peace and of Truth

I Honour the place in you that is the same in me

There is but One
